You can auto-master your tracks in Voloco before publishing them to your account. To use auto mastering, users need to have Voloco version 9.5 or later installed on their device. Auto mastering is also a premium feature requiring a Voloco Premium subscription.
What is mastering?
Mastering is the process of turning a finished mix into a release-ready track. It brings the song up to industry-standard volume, balances frequencies for clarity and impact, and ensures it sounds great on any device — from phone speakers to stadium sound systems. It’s the final quality check before your music goes public.
How to use auto mastering
When you're done working on a project, tap the pink arrow in the bottom right corner to head to the Review screen.
Then, tap the Mastering button. You'll then be given a selection of mastering presets that best fit your track. Tap on a preset to select it, and you can then play your track back with the play button to hear how it sounds mastered. To return to the unmastered version of the track, tap the preset again or tap Reset.
At the end of the mastering presets list, you're also given the option to use a Custom Reference Track. This can be an already mastered track that you want Voloco to use as a reference for how it masters yours.
Once you've found a mastering preset you like, tap Apply to master your track. You can then proceed with the rest of the publishing process, and your mastered track will be published to your profile!
Does auto mastering impact the sound of my project?
No. Auto mastering only affects your published track. You're project will still sound the same the next time you go to edit it. Auto mastering has no impact on the collaboration feature.
What if I want to download my mastered track?
To download a mastered track, tap the share icon in the top right of the Review screen after you've applied mastering to your track. You'll then be able to download the track to your device files.
