You may come across scammers when using Voloco, much like any other online social platform. While we have systems designed to keep scammers off our platform, here are some best practices we recommend our users follow to stay safe.
- Never share personal details directly with others or list them in your bio (address, phone number, full legal name, banking information, etc).
- Keep conversations in Voloco and report them when needed so that we can investigate suspicious users effectively. Unfortunately, we won't be able to help you if the conversation is moved to another platform.
- Do not engage with individuals who attempt to move the conversation to another platform (Singular, Telegram, etc).
- Use our blocking and reporting features to IMMEDIATELY stop communicating with the individual(s).
- Be wary of unsolicited messages. If you receive an unexpected message from someone you don't know, especially one that seems too good to be true, be skeptical. Use our reporting features so we can investigate this type of behavior.
- If a link that is sent to you cannot be accessed within Voloco, do not manually type it into a web browser to visit it.
