You can import your own backing track in Voloco by either tapping the "+" button and selecting import or by opening a new project and tapping "Add Beat." You can then import an audio file stored locally on your device to be used as the backing track.
Voloco supports these file types as backing tracks. All other file types are not supported:
- Stereo or mono PCM WAV and AIFF (16-bit int, 24-bit int, 32-bit int, or 32-bit IEEE float).
- MP3: MPEG-1 Layer III (sample rates: 32000 Hz, 44100 Hz, 48000 Hz).
- MPEG-2 is not supported.
- AAC-LC in M4A container (iTunes).
- AAC-LC in ADTS container (.aac).
- Apple Lossless (on iOS only).
**Voloco does not support loading songs downloaded through Apple Music. This is due to DRM restrictions imposed by Apple on the music from the Music app.
A Voloco Premium subscription grants unlimited imports, while those without a subscription are limited to one import per day.
If you have issues importing audio, we recommend checking what type of audio file you are trying to import and how much storage space is available on your device. If the problem continues, please get in touch with us at support@resonantcavity.com for further assistance.
