Introduced in version 9.1, Voloco creators can now share a copy of their project with other users for a more streamlined collaboration experience. This feature does require a Voloco Premium subscription.
Sharing a copy of your project creates a link that allows users to download a copy of the project to their Voloco library when they click on it. THIS LINK IS NOT A FORM OF CLOUD SAVING/STORAGE. The link is only active for a set period, and once it expires, it cannot be used to download a copy of the project.
There are two ways to share a copy of your project in Voloco. We'll go over both below.
Send as a Message
- Tap either the three-dot character "⋮" next to a project in your Library or the "Share" button on the top right corner of the Review screen when working on a project.
- Select "Collaborate" and choose "Send as a Message."
- You'll then be able to search for other users and see a list of your recent conversations. Selecting a user will send them the link to download a copy of your project through a DM. You can send the project to multiple users while on the Collaborate screen.
- Tap either the three-dot character "⋮" next to a project in your Library or the "Share" button on the top right corner of the Review screen when working on a project.
- Select "Collaborate" and choose "Copy Link."
- The share link for your project will then be copied to your device's clipboard. You can paste this link anywhere to share a download of your project with anyone. If someone clicks on it outside the app, they'll be pulled into either the app or our web app.
Can I delete a link I've sent?
No. You cannot delete or deactivate a project collaboration link once it has been sent. This means it's essential to ensure you are sharing your project with the right person and not putting your link anywhere it can be publicly accessible.
Will I automatically see the changes another user makes to my project?
No. When you share a project using the collaboration feature, it creates a separate copy for the other user. Think of it like downloading a copy of a file from cloud storage - any changes you make to your downloaded version won't affect the original:
- They work on their copy
- Any changes they make only exist in their version
- Your original project remains unchanged
To view their changes, they would need to share their edited version back to you using the same collaboration feature.
