Voloco works with iOS and Android devices' built-in mics and speakers, as well as various headphones and external microphones. For professional stand-alone mics, you'll need a compatible audio interface.
For best quality, we recommend using a headset with a mic. Headphones let you hear the backing track and your vocal monitor while recording without feedback. Without headphones, Voloco won't output monitor audio during recording.
When using a headset mic, hold it near your mouth for better recording quality, capturing high-frequency sounds. Position it about 6 inches (15 cm) away to avoid distortion.
What about Bluetooth?
Bluetooth microphones result in a low-quality and delayed recording. For this reason, when you use a Bluetooth headset, Voloco uses your phone's microphone instead while still utilizing the headphones in the Bluetooth headset.
Ensure any external microphone is compatible and connected before opening Voloco.
