There are two ways to adjust the volume levels within a project: using the Mix Panel or changing the volume of a specific vocal segment.
Mix Panel
The Mix Panel allows you to adjust the volume levels of each vocal layer, the backing track, and the volume of your recorded vocals, known as "input gain." The input gain impacts how sensitive your microphone is to your voice when recording. The higher the input gain, the more sound your microphone will pick up.
To open the Mix Panel, tap the "mixer" icon to the right of the screen above the vocal effects.
You'll now see individual volume sliders for the backing track, each vocal layer, and your recorded vocals (Live).
Changing the volume of a Vocal Segment
To change the volume of an individual vocal segment, tap on the segment so that it is highlighted and select "FX & Volume" from the pop-up menu.
You'll then see effects and volume settings appear for the vocal segment you've highlighted. Tap the "dB" setting above the vocal segment to adjust the volume. A volume slider will then appear, which you can use to increase or decrease the volume of the selected segment.
Changing the volume of a vocal segment will not impact the volume throughout the rest of the project. It will only change the volume of the vocal segment selected. Segment volume and vocal layer volume are
independent of each other. Vocal layer volume is applied after segment volume in the mixdown.
When you're finished, tap the blue "Edit" icon to exit editing the vocal segment.
